I love the Mandie series and am now sending it to my grandkids, nieces and nephews. Yes, the boys enjoy it too. It was my son's favorite series. I received it in perfect condition and in record time.
This book is really great. Read it!
This is a good story and picks up right where the last story leaves of.
Mandie is out on another adventure. This time she's trying to find a hidden treasure with a map that's about fifty years old. A persimmon tree, a bush, a rock pile - the pieces just don't fit! A rock pile, a persimmon tree, a rhododendron bush are nowhere in sight. And then there's the mad man close by with his rifle on the ready. Will Mandie and her friends find the treasure in time?

Genre historical, adventure. Age 10-13 years old.

"Mandie and the Hidden Treasure" as well as others in the Mandie Book series is more about adventure than God. There might be only a few remarks, if at all, about Him. This book will merely entertain and won't help in spiritual growth. The 9th book in the Mandie Book series.

In the previous book Mandie got in trouble for sneaking away without permission and as punishment she is not allowed to go anywhere for the rest of the summer without an adult. But she's set on finding the treasure that's on a map that she found in her attic, but the map seems almost impossible to follow, and despite all that she still won't give up.
Along the way she discovers secrets that she never dreamed of, and helps someone in their work in a very unexpected way.
This is the first Mandie book that I ever read, and although it was rather confusing at times, (for instance, I had no idea who Joe or Dimar was,) it made me want to pursue the entire series.
This book has got to be one of the best books of the series. Very well written, it gives enough mystery, surprises, thrills, and even sadness to make it outstanding.
I love this book, and I hope everyone else does too.
