Very impressed with this debut novel.
Omega Twink was a sweet endearing story with some tasteful hotness. I enjoyed reading this book very much. I thought the writing was done very well.
I really liked Spencer and the bosses together. At first Lane took awhile to grow on me. I didn’t agree with either of the bosses in making Spencer choose. I feel like he had to give up so much and even after everything my heart still never seemed to fully heal for him. And even though I know Spencer needed/wanted to be the one to take on his sisters burden since he blamed himself… I just feel like the mom should have at least offered herself. I mean, I know I would have, if it had been my kids. I wouldn’t want either of them marred. I would take that away from both of them. But the mom never seemed like that great of a person anyway so I guess it was expected for her to choose her looks over her children.
But, it was nice to see a book that didn’t make “everything†all better (more believable) so I was happy with the outcome.
Anyway great story. Got the emotions out of me. Will definitely be keeping a lookout for more of this authors’ works in the future.
His first heat had him believing he was losing his mind. Then finding out the Pride Alpha's were his true mates made him feel he wasn't good enough to be a 3rd leader. This book suggest another possible book.
Such a sweet story. Spencer wants to be a model. His mother always made a big deal out if his beauty and that's pretty much all he felt he was good at. That is until he went into heat. Not knowing what was happening to him, his boss Edna explained.
Harley and Lane are the pride leaders and they are also Spencer's mates. Knowing this, they try to stay away from him but to no avail. After telling Spencer, he couldn't see himself as their mate and walked away.
Spencer's little sister came to stay with him and after an accident Spencer's career changed. Family became his focus. He found what he truly needed. And there is a happy ending.
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy. I recommend this book.
The book does start off in an intriguing way. Spencer is going into heat and he has no idea what is going on. It's both super-hot and comical to hear how he is trying to cope.
Spencer has had a life-long dream of becoming a model, so being with the 2 alphas for his shifter pride isn't really going to work for him. The angst from Spencer as well as Lane and Harley is pretty emotional. Circumstances lead this triad back to each other and it's really sweet. There's a good story here, I just am not feeling 5 stars because I would have liked the author to solve some of the issues in a happier way. Part of me felt like this ending was Spencer's only choice and I'd have preferred it to be his true choice.
I have to say that I didn't particularly like Spencer until after his epiphany. This was in line with his character - which was supposed to be self-absorbed and narcissistic - but his change of heart happened so instantaneously that I had a bit of trouble suspending my disbelief.
I love hea. The blurb on said it would have this. I really enjoyed the growth of the main characters throughout the book. I'm not going to say much as I don't want to be a spoiler.
An omega discovers he has two fated mates...who are the leaders of his pride.
The know they need an omega to complete them and help lead the pride.
But his dream has always been to be a model.
When his young sister comes to stay with him things become really complicated, and clear, at the same time.

I didn’t know it when I bought or even after I read it but Omega Twink is Judith Shale’s debut novel. It says something that after reading it I couldn’t tell she was new. When I first got this book it was because of another author who found it, said the title made her smile. I saw it and was on board. Adorable title, a ménage… which is my most favorite, and shifter! A total win for me.
Not knowing what to expect was half the fun with this story. I found the MC of this book, Spencer, to be quite the character. We follow him and his POV through this whole story. Where I thought there’d be more page time with him and the two Alpha Mates, Lane and Harley, it turns out it worked this way. Yes, we got time with them but this story was more about Spencer and his growth.
He has dreams of being a model and when he goes into his first heat and finds out he has two mates that are pride leaders and by being with them would mean giving up on his dreams; his whole life goes crazy.
There’s a huge sacrifice Spencer makes in this book and by doing what he does turns him into an extremely selfless person. I have to say it shocked me. I teared up a whole lot reading this. I found the emotion in Spencer’s heart and Harley’s heart to be real. Lane, I’m still on the fence with. I get his personality is what it is but I had a hard time warming up to him.
I loved the concept of this book and the whole idea. It fell a little short on the timing for me. There were scenes that were extremely rushed that needed to be slowed down. It happened a few times in the book and I just found myself saying, “breathe,†to an author who couldn’t hear me.
Even with the minor areas of speed I found this to be an endearing, very entertaining, fun story.
